The timing belt keeps slipping on my car and I met another guy who was having the same problems with his. i want to know is this a problem with all 4th gens?
Timing belt (inside the engine) or the accessory belt (drives alternator, a/c, and the smaller one for power steering)? If its the timing belt, is it slipping off the cams?

I think he means jumping teeth and advancing and or retarding a cam. Not sure though.
I just thought of something. I once ran into a similar problem with 2 other cars. One was my old 89 Daytona Shelby. The dude who had the car before me never put the cam lock in and the gear was slipping. The other was on a Dodge Intrepid. It came to my shop not running after getting a timing belt done. Some joker loosened the cam gear and it was slipping around. I am not sure how the Honda cams lock in place, but it's an idea none the less.
on my 5th gen, the belt 'walks' off of the cam gears a bit (5mm or so). I've had it apart a few times and could never figure out why. It's never failed though. Is this what you're talking about?
nevermind guys, problem fixed. you see i bought the car with 165k miles on it and i don't know what the previous owner had and hadn't done to it, but i caved and took it to a mechanic and he told me it just needed to be changed, and i got it done. so far i have had no problems but i'll keep you updated.
