Problems starting my lude

Ok, i have a ´92 4th G lude, the engine is a H23 with Auto Transmission.

Now for the problem, sometimes in the morning when the engine is cold, when i cranck it it will start up but the RPM is very very low that if i dont press the accelerator it will shut off, but sometimes it will start up with a little high RPM (around 1200) that is normal for cold starts.

If i sart it up and keep using the accelerator to keep it running, when it reached the normal temp, it will run ok, but the light for the Sports mode of the Auto transmission will blink fast, but the engine is working normal.....

If it starts up normal, the light will not blink...

What can be wrong? Maybe some vaccum hoses? or electrical?

Any help please.......

My lude ticks over about 1200rpm on a cold (4degree) morning in the UK, and about 1500rpm when its 0 degs or colder. If its shutting off then it will more than likely be the autochoke or something else (maybe a sensor), sorry I can't help anymore

the cold start problem sounds like a fast idle control valve. It is attached to the bottom of your throttle body, and has two coolant lines that go into it. Usually when they go bad, they get stuck open, not closed, but I guess anything is possible.

as far as the light, I have no idea.
