problem with my 93 prelude si....

i have an automatic 93 Si , when the car is warmed up , i let go of the E-brake and shift it to D4 then my car shakes ALOT , i dont know what's the problem , same thing happens when i stop at a red light. it goes away when i drive off...any suggestions? the car has only 79K miles....

hmmm....

..sounds like a fuel problem, when that happens how many RPM's are there?? does this always happen?

the RPM is at 790-900 when it shakes...yes it ALWAYS happens...

hmm....

i don't know if the Rpms are that high it doesn't sound like a fuel problem, maybe it is the motor mounts....
hmmmm did you check your usual areas... oil, tranny fluid, all the little stuff?
if everything else looks kosher, then it might be your motor mounts dude... sorry

where can i find an aftermarket engine mounts? i rather upgrade them instead of going to the dealer.

dammit... i forgot....

but they do sell performance mounts, ummm i think...
you can try places like optauto.com, nopionline.com, i am not sure if preludeparts.com has it or modacar.com but you can check... well you can goto placeracing.com and e-mail about engine mounts...they're really good.

Dang, I think I have the same problems, my rpms flutuate a bit..i also head it might be because of how I set up my CAI..

my car is 100% stock...im guessing its the engine mounts too...

you might want to call a honda dealership and ask a service advisor what it is cause it could be your tranny. just tell them the problem and they sould tell you what it is dont just go by what people that havent seen this happen say. i have seen a lot of automatics do that same thing though.
