Ok so Im 30 miles from home after a long 2500 mile round trip and I hear and feel this metallic pop from below my feet. I then notice a whole hell of a lot of noise from my header in the vicinity og the cat or flex pipe. Kinda sounds like a leaky exhaust, raspy and loud. I visually inspected everything and dont see anything loose or broken! What the hell is going on? Is there something inside the flex pipe that cam loose or what? Anyone?
you might want to try seeing if there's an exhaust leak......
someone posted up the shop turned on the car, and then the mechanic put a towel over the flexpipe and then the noise went away........thats one way to troubleshoot it
btw megan has had a problem with a leaky flexpipe, one member on here has had a problem but they sent him another one
i have the megan header and no problem yet

OK I did a visual inspections. Absolutely no cracks or breaks anywhere in the header including the flexpipe. However there is a somewhat noticeable smell of exhaust near the engine bay. Could it be from within the flex pipe.
Question for Charlie...where exactly did the flex pipe break on yours?
You get what u pay for in life. Everyone rags about the DC Sports header, its not all that great since the collector is daym small. I PERSONALLY have never had a prob with one, but i hear DC cracks alot?
