last weekend i came home from college and was driving my car. it had sat for 2 weeks without being driven at all. it was pretty cold out. well i started it friday and everything was normal. but by sunday it had gotten extremely hard to shift. it wouldnt go into 1st at all satureday night. i kept driving starting from redlights and such in second gear. by the time i got home i had to start in 3rd cause i could get into second. on sunday when i was trying to back it out of the driveway it wouldnt go into any gear at all. i finaly jammed it into reverse, it made a really ugly noise, and backed it out of the driveway but when i pushed the clutch in it would disengage. i had to slam it into neutural to get it to stop. i think it might be the slave cylender but i dont really havent checked it yet because im at college and my car isnt here. i need your input if you have ever had this problem before or know anything about it. im going to have to fix it over thanksgiving break so i need as much info as i can get. i didnt get to check anything on the car such as fluids or anything yet so i dont know anything else. please let me know if you know anything it would be much apriciated.

If you still have pressure at the pedal, it can't be your master or slave cylinders. If you have pressure and still can't get it into gear, I assume the clutch is out, and is not engaging.
Hope that helps. If im wrong sorry...correct me.

It sounds like you just ran out of fluid. Try shifting the gears with the car turned off, I bet it'll shift fine like that. If so, you're reservoir is empty.
Get under your driver side dash, and look up on the firewall, where the clutch master cylinder passes through. look for any fluid leakage under the dash. When the master cylinder goes out, it leaks inside the car. If you see fluid then obviously change the master cylinder. For saftey sake replace the slave as well. DO NOT waste money on the OEM parts. As you can get the same exact part from the part store for a considerable amount less. I always buy them from Advanced Auto parts. They say NISSIN right on the side which is the OEM supplier. They are about 1/3 the cost as well. Replacing them is about a 1 hour job. This will include bleeding the system as well. For a temp fix, just add fluid to the resovoir and pump the clutch a few times. You should be able to build a little pressure, enough to drive the car, but you will need to monitor the fluid level constantly. And last but not least, DO NOT force the car into gear, this is a sure fire way to bend the shift forks and do quite a bit more damage.

in the short version to the story, No it never came out an most likely never will. I could go on for quite sometime about how I has screwed over by the publisher, and how dragging their asses through the courts really netted me nothing but headaches, and heartaches. But I won't bore you with the details. I am currently trying to get the last court ruling overturned so that I can have the rights to my book back. But that may take for ever. I will ost likely never attempt another book ever in my lifetime.
