probably a real no brainer question but.....

what is this switch for? i've searched the owner's manual, and never once come across it on the forums. my guess would have to be for a fuel cut off or security system but flipping it doesn't seem to do anything.

also this is under the dash on the drivers side right by the hood release, if you can't tell.

My wild guess would be a switch for a set of aftermarket fog lights.

Aftermarket toggle switch. Follow the wires and see where it goes.

hmmm... wires lead to a light on the center console, a motion sensor under the dash and two plugs to nothing... guess my car used to have a security system installed... looking through the glove box i found a manual for a avital ex 400 security system... wonder why it got taken out.... no info on there website about that model either

it's for putting the alarm in valet mode. you hold it in for a couple secs while the key is in the on position, and it toggles your alarm on/off.
