What are my options for rust repair on my existing sunrrof ? Rust ate away lots of metal and now there is a slight gap between the rubber and the metal

Find a 5th gen sunroof. They are glass and that will be the end of your problem.
There is a writeup or two on how to install the 5th gen sunroof in a 4th gen.

I would love to have a glass sunroof. I read through one such conversion (92-96 Prelude Moonroof Conversion Install Guide/FAQ - Honda Forum / Acura Forum - SuperHonda.com). The sunroof panel conversion seems simple enough ( The entire sunroof conversion at ntpog seems a somewhat difficult DIY ).

But, I thought that there were 2 issues :-

1. The 5th gen sunrrof seemed to stick out a bit - any ideas about this ?

2. No sunshade if you just change the sunroof panel - if the tint is dark enough - there would not be a problem with the sun.

What do you think ?
