prelude with no horsepower - Honda Prelude Forum

Alright I have the biggest problem..my lude prolly only has about 80 horsepower...I was driving one day and my car backfired and shut off..so I towed it home and found the distributor gear was broken..so I went ahead and just did new valve springs/retainers..cams/gears/ belts and waterpump..I started it up yesterday and it sounded great but wen I test drove it the car had noooo ass wat so ever..horsepower is horrible..what could it possiby be..maybe a tooth off of timing????

Check the timing, make sure all 4 cylinders are firing and the firing order is correct.

Yeah I hope that's all it is..but what all could cause that?
