Controls how long the fans run for.

Ok! The name says it. But the fans should run as long as the thermo switch is on, and the fans should stop, when coolant temperature drops below 90 deg celsius. Right?
I was hopping, that fan timer unit should run fans with ignition switch off, and provide power to the fans. So when you drive the car in the hot summer day, engine temperature rises higher then 90 deg, the fans turn on and runs until temp drops below temp switch temp, witch turns off the fans. And then you turn off the car, pulls out key feom ignition and temp accumulate in the engine, and again rises ovr temp switch temperature. Temp switch turns on, but there is no power to run fans. I was hopping that the fan unit will provide power to the fans, but there is no power from the fa. Timer unit without ig switch... Anyone, please more detail troubleshooting....
Thanks in advance.

What you described is pretty much correct. The ECT switches turn on and off by the reading the temperature of the coolant. They're not directly wired to the fans. They're wired back to the fan timer unit. JDM models have 1 ect on right before the thermostat. USDM models have the same one plus another one right in front of the motor where the upper radiator hose connects. The one near the thermostat is controlled by the timer unit while the car is running and does not function when the car is off. The front etc switch functions when the car is off. If you don't have the timer your fans shouldn't work unless they've been rewired. I can't remember if the a/c unit is tied to that either I haven't looked at the wiring diagram for a while.

That's right, the ECT A is not connected via Fan timer unit, but ECT B is, but there is no power out from the FTU with ignition off! And I really don't know should it be, or not, but FTU has permanent power, with ignition on, and off, so I suppose that FTU handles the fans.

Here is the wiring diagram!
