Prelude caught on fire

I have a 95 prelude.
I was driving one night home and My prelude turned off on me and i cranked the ignition again and nothing happened, well it was trying to start but it wouldnt..
I stopped in the middle of the road and putthe haz light on, but i remembered it felt like i bottomed out on a curve when my car turned off, then i noticed smoke coming out of my hood. and the engine harness was on fire the part where it connects to the injectors.
what could have cause this problem?
Thanks,
Whatdaheo23

(will post up pics later today)

The part where it connects to the injectors is a "fuel rail". You likely had a fuel line split and the heat made it catch fire.

Sucks.

he told you the problem, that is a FUEL RAIL. the line or the injector prob started to leak alittle gas add in the heat from the motor and bam.

oh and btw heat rises so flames go up.....so by this simple math fire burned the wiring above that thus stopping the car

If you are looking for the answer your wires spontaneously combusted we will tell you that, but it wont be the truth
