Prelude with Acura legend V6...

I had read in Sport Compact car about a year ago that a group of racers was building a tube framed 4th gen with the v6 motor from an Acura legend coupe II..and supercharging it. has anyone heard anything about this car?

They showed pics of the tube framed 4th gen but it had not motor in it

I was wondering the same thing. They said they would keep us posted, but nothing yet.

I need to find that issue.

why would they put an auto in it? The Acura legend Coupe II only came with a 6 speed gear box, and the motor put out 230hp?

I gotta find that issue and try to remember what race team was building it.. I remmeber it was in one of those..

"Drag teams to watch for next year" the ford Focus was in there too

For drag racing the point is going fast..so electronically controlled shifting would be ALOT better in that application...

i've read that too...but still, once you put an Acura Legend engine in it, it doesn't remain a prelude no more...so doesn't impress me...just like those damn civics with our H22 inside...cheaters..

if they made a prelude with tube frame chasis, it wouldn't weigh as much....so why not just keep the stock motor and work the ****er? i'm sure they can hit atleast 11's or better with pro set ups...

If I remember they were looking to get into the 10's or even 9's after they had supercharged the motor
