hey guys. i have a noob question. How can you tell that your power steering system is about to go out. My lude makes that signature power steering moan everytime I turn hard right or left while I'm stopped or parking. I've topped it off and it does not leak. Is my pump about to go? thanks.

yes, more than likely the pump is shot. Most likely the barrings. Pumps are not too expensive and easily replaced.

Thanks for the reply. When and how will it go out? Is it something that must be replaced asap before it goes out while I'm on the freeway? Or is it something that I can get to on my weekend or day off.

no, no, and yes. try replacing the fluid, topping it off will do nothing unless its empty.
