Power steering belt

My PS belt squeaks @ rpms below 1500 when it's damp from the rain and such, any way to solve? needs replacement? shed a little light?

you can either tighten it up or (which I would do!) is replace the belt al together! Problem solved!

what procedure needs to be taken to tighten it up?

I attempted to do that a few months ago with the engine running, slipped and managed to cut my finger tip 99% off, had to get it sewed back on

so advice would be helpful

loosen all of the bolts that hold on the p/s pump and make sure that the car is not running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then loosen the 12mm nut on the top of the p/s pump and then tighten the bolt that the 12mm nut is on. Tighten everything back down and then start the car back up.

Step 1) turn the car off.

that sux though dood hehe.. sorry. my dad cut his finger off in a belt at work, he said he ddnt even feel it just thought he pinched it.

tighten it or apply some belt dressing
