i had a question? i have a 93 si, is my antenna suppose to stay up while my deck is playing a cd? also i have a pioneer deh-p2300 deck.

i've heard of people wiring a switch so they can manually raise it when they use their radio and keep it down when playing cd's

Mine goes up and down as I cycle between CD and radio.

It depends on the type of deck you have. Some have a built in switch that cuases the antenna to raise/lower automatically like mine (eclipse). Some do not.

the JDM 4th gens had an antenna switch.

I just replaced the motor assembly with a small, black antenna. Looks a lot better IMO (and its lighter!

)
