Possible mods?

hey all i have a 93 vtec with intake and catback exhaust. im tryin to plan a course of action to attain at least 300 horse power at the wheels. now i dont know nothin about working on cars. i can talk a little bit about it but ive never done any work. so my question is what would be the most reasonable route to take considering i wont be able to do the work myself or tune it myself. now i know a couple of people who are mechanics but they will do the work out of there garage. one guy i know builds up camaros and american muscle cars but said he will be willing to take on my project, as soon as i decide which way i want to go. but im not too sure if i want to trust him cause my car is obviously a lot different than muscle cars. another guy said i could put cams from an integra type r in my car which ive been told wouldnt work. so im not too sure about this guy either. but i do know somone who has built a ls/gsr (or something like that) in a crx. and i know he knows his **** but i could definately see him tryin to make some money off me. seeing as how i dont know what im talkin about most of the time. so if any one could could give me some pointers or any info, that would be greatly appreciated. thanx in advance.

Matt

I dont think that the cams from a Type R will fit. I have never heard of this conversion... It would be sweet though.

1st of all don't listen to the guy... ITR cam shafts will not work on the H22A motor which is what you have. ITR cam shafts are for b-series engines. B series and H series are 2 different type of motors. The H22a is alot bigger than the b seires. Anyhow.. you say you want to make about 300hp. Well, the best route to get 300hp to the wheels is going turbo.

if i went turbo what would i have to do in preparation so that there wont be any unforseen catastrophies. i mean i know there is risk inolved with any mod. but this is my daily driver so i dont know how that would turn out. does anyone have a setup like this that is a daily driver? cause i cant afford to drop thousands of dollars for a fast ass car if it will be breaking down in 6 months. but i really luv my car and i've always wanted a prelude with 300+ bhp. so if i do decide to go turbo i want to do it right. how much would i be looking at pricewise to prep the engine and turbo charge it and how reliable would it be? any info is greatly appreciated. thanx.

Somone did turbo with all the best parts recentley.
He paid 8000 i think.
The least you can spend is prolly bout 4500.

Gettin turbod wont get you 300hp either youll need every
mod you can get. Im sure youll end up paying well over
the amount of money you paid for your car.

hey was that price for the turbo only or did he do an engine rebuild too. because i was told that i should build the engine for turbo then get the turbo charger. if this is the case then i will have to save up. and the way i see it i have to work this car becuase i spent too much money tryin to keep it running, especially since it is my everday car. ive spent just about $13,000 on this car including the price i paid to buy it. so if i sold it now i would be losing a lot of money and i would hate to sell it cause i luv it too much. thanx for the info and links i can use all the resources i can find for my research. thanx again.
