is 30 cfm gain on the flowbench a pretty big gain as far as power?

That's like asking, "will a 3" exhaust give me more power?"

30CFM is a decent increase in FLOW, assuming that's at an individual port (should be roughly a 20% gain or more). If it's at the TB or exit through 2 or more ports at once... then no.

For a stock motor, you likely aren't going to see much of a gain in power. Not knowing what other mods you have it might or might not mean much. You can only use so much air (so many CFM), so going beyond what you can use only decreases velocity and will decrease your low-end power.

Relax, man, he was just asking a question. He obviously doesn't have the wealth of technical info you do. It's alright...

So... now I want to know if a 3" exhaust will give me more power? I'm guessing only if I am pumping enough air to require it? Anf that is not likely to happen without FI?

3" is way overkill on our NA engines. The most you should think about is 2.5". To reap benefits of a 3" exhaust, you would need some form of FI.
