Hi All,

Just wanted some suggestions on the overall appearance and custom trunk installed in my 94 VTEC Prelude. Any comments or suggestions are welcomed.

So I guess no spare tire for you? How much did that cost to be done (did you do it yourself?)? Not the cost of the equipment, just the black clean looking... stuff? heh.. Not sure what to call it.

Swordfish, labor on the system itself was $900.00. The entire trunk was covered in vinyl.

As for a Prelude meet...

Sure.... its been awhile since I went to a good Prelude meet...

When's the next one?

Very nice.

I like how clean the trunk is with, the nice lighting.

Not trying to sound nitpicky but is is there anywhere else you can put the VAFC/SAFC? It looks kinda out of place. You're doing great since that was all I could find after looking for awhile.

Since I've gotten the VAFC, I've been coming up with all kinds of ideas to mount the unit where it would appear to be "stock" in appearance. The only spot that I could think of so far.... is the roof of the car, where the stock dome light is located at on all 94 and on Preludes (between the two sun shades)

If you have any other ideas, please let me know....

I don't like it in that location either

I never hear you mention it, but do you get rear deck rattle?
I'm getting this *squeaking* noise whenever I slow down or brake, in addition to rear deck rattle and my passenger-side back-seat armrest molding rattling.

4th Gens are notorious for rear deck rattle. Its almost like Honda forgot to check for loose panels when they were making the car.

The rattle problem that I currently have is the rear deck and the damm rear seat fold down latch in the trunk. The next time I'm going to work on the car, I'm taping the latch down. It has too many moving parts that's causing the rattle.

The rear deck has already been dynomatted, but there's still some rattling under certain frequencies.... need to take it apart again some time soon.
