Unfortunately, even if you remove it, you're still gonna have a 'pinstripe' because the paint under the sticker is unfaded. But I think most people take them off.. I see more ludes w/o them than with them. Both my 4th gens were pinstripeless

I got rid of mine, taking off the glue is a pain, and I found out in the process that my car suffered through some bad paint shops in it's day. (Someone clear coated over the top of the stripe on my front 1/4 panel) But, I didn't have any problems with faded paint or anything. Just rubbing off all the glue. My fingers got a little sore

I'm pretty sure every 4th gen came with a pinstripe from the factory. And unless done in a paint shop, the tape should just be on top of the clear coat, not underneath it (Padge). And obviously if your car has been painted more recently then 11 years ago, you won't have as much fade, if any on the paint, so that's all dependant. As for taking off the glue, you can buff it off with wax easily.

no car comes pinstripped from the factory. It would simply be a waste of time to strip each car. Most are done at the dealer level so the dealer can make more money on the car by charging $200 dollars for something that cost them $50.
