pics of what happens to your cf hood when u hit a volvo's bumper with a lowered 4th g

heres the lil spider web crack... 2 inches of the bad area then it brances oiut a little wide for ike 4 inches... rest of hood is perfect just this is half way up on the right edge.. also a piece near the hood latch hole broke off on the underside but its underneath so...

ugh body shops wanting anywhere from 1500 to 3000 to repair.. insurance will double ****ing high risk category

The body shops are ripping you a new one with that estimate. I repair that kind of stuff on airplanes all day. it takes about 20 bucks wrth of material and about 8 hours of time. If the carbon fibrer itself is damaged it will cost more, but if it's just the clear finish that is damaged, that's easy to fix.

Doesnt look terrible to me. If you have to you could get the outside of each edge painted and have it blend into cf or something creative,
