Pics of modded tail lights plz!

Bought some stock tails for $5 on eBay (gotta love love teh eBay) a while back and I just put them on the car to work on the other modified set I have. I'm gonna redo the modded ones and I'm looking to get some ideas of what other people have done. Thnx!

All I did was take out the yellow/white insert, then paint the inside housing black....Had to buy color bulbs for ohio, but i think it looks good.

In retrospect I wish I would has lighty smoked the clear plastic. Also wet sanding and polishing them to make them shine is a great thing to do...

OLD tailights on the old 'lude. Left the reflector up top and just above the turn/reverse lights. Also repainted the insides w/ good 'ole chrome spray paint

Nice clean car but is it just the picture or are the wheels (esp the rear ones) too much inside the wheel wells?

Your ride looks really nice and clean.

I posted a question a while back asking if anyone knew anything about smoking the tails since I wanted to try it on my '92 Si, but everyone said it wasn't cool and would look terrible. They must have pictured something different from what I was thinking of.

A lot of the Euro tuners use smoked lenses and I've seen VW aftermarket lenses sold already smoked, and I thought the look would carry over nicely to the Prelude. I know there are groups out there that would never think of taking anything from "those F&@%#^g Euros" or vice versa, but I can appreciate a nicely modded ride whether its from Japan, the US or Europe.
When I posted my question I was also looking for info on how to actually do the smoking, and the best way to take apart the lenses- like the backing of the taillights- and reattach them, and the materials needed to do the job.

The smoked tails add just enough of a change to notice it's different without going overboard. Good Job!

offset is different...you need wheel spacers to make it look right after 5 gen lug swap...anyone have any 15mm spacers? i need this done too

I don't normally like the CF Altezzas, but they look nice with the black color. Can I ask how you baked open the taillights? Oven temp., approximate time, etc.? I'm thinking of doing something with my stock tails- but I don't want them to end up as a pile of red and gray mush.
