what stuff do you need to take out to get rid of the cruise control? I really want to get rid of it, never used it once.

just unbolt it from the bay, disconnect the connector, disconnect the cruise control throttle cable, remove the unit and plug all the vacuum lines.. job done!

Engine-Brite is available at any auto parts store.

It took about 30 min total. I covered the intake, distributor, and fuse box with plastic. Sprayed very generously all over the head, block, sides, and intake manifold. I only used a brush on the engine code because it was very grimey. I let it set for about 15 min, and rinsed it off...DO NOT SOAK YOUR MOTOR, lightly mist it to rinse the stuff off. I let it air dry for a little and wiped down the rest with some paper towel. This was just a quick once over. If I spent a little more time on the nooks and crannies it would be perfect. I will probably do it again in a couple weeks. I am very happy with the results. I started my car shortly after finishing, and there was just a little smoke for a few minutes, but nothing major...

Yes JOSE, GREDDY...The best header there is for >$1000...There is some stains on it where I didn't wipe off the grease from the install. Nothing I can really do about it. I may try to polish it with a griding wheel pad.

Yes, the big space would be good for ignition, but it's on the opposite side, and would be tough to run it across the compartment. I am going to relocate my battery this year to make room for an MSD or Icepack. I do miss Cr cntrl sometimes on those long journeys to the race track, but it looks alot cleaner in there now!

I think I'll have to try this. I didn't know you could clean the motor with such little scrubbing.

Mmmmm GReddy....OH! nice lookin' engine bay. I don't think I could do the whole no cruise contrlol thing. My bf took his out on his Prelude, and it takes me 10 minutes to pull into a tight parking space. But I've got arms like Madonna now!

don't u mean he took out the power stear.. what the cruize control does is that when it is hook up and u turn it on.. it supose to keep the car at that speed unless u , 1 turn it off or acclerate or decelarte wif the button... go to Hp.com and look under the new how to 4 the strear wheel, the guy tells u how to remove it.

i have to do this cause it just wastin space, my cruise control doesn't even work so y bother with it
