of course you can chirp into second, I usually don't becuase I have nice tires on there but maybe you just drive it differently now or something, trust me, if you made it a point to chirp into second you would but it's not bad that you don't.
check your motor mounts. mine were bad and i couldnt chirp 2nd. now i can almost spin 2nd for a bit if i shift hard enough. trick is not to go to redline. try it like 500 rpm's below redline. more torque there.
i can spin them going into second but i got a lot of mods done, the key is not to let your rpm go down AT ALL when you shift. btw its much easier to spin them going around right turn cuz axle is shorter if you tryin to show off
I chirpped in second on accident, and I knocked down my crossovers from underneath my dash. Of course, I have I/H/E and an ACT street strip clutch, and my foot slipped when I shifted.
I can still chirp second with 102,000 miles, CAI and Greddy pe, and a slipping stock clutch. I try not to, but I can. I don't have $144.00 every month to replace worn a Yoko Spec II's.

i could chirp them into 3rd with my old 92 but only with my BF Goodriches on the stock 15's...never tried it with my 17's cause they dont have any tread left...thats why i am still rolling on the srtock 15's on my new car
The tires that came with this one are so phuckin cheap i wouldn't be surprised if i could chirp them into 5th They are some type of Michelin tire and I am having a blast making them squeal like pigs
I don't really think this thread is going to help you in any way... you should be able to chirp your tires, that's all that needs to be said no? I could tell you that I used to be able to spin 2nd in my 92 S with 210,000 miles and an I/E and Bridgestone Potenza RE-730's, but is that going to help? I dunno.. I'm not trying to be an ass, but how will people telling you they can chirp thier tires gonna help?

i was just wondering... its not like im all upset... besides my friend also noticed that im not usually putting the pedal all the way down when i tried this. so it was pretty much my stupididitiy (meaning that i did acclompish chirpage with alittle patience)
if you want to be able to chirp 3rd, 4th etc get some ****ty tires and a better clutch. chirping the tires isnt really a good thing. the more i chirp going into 2nd at the track the slower i run.

Well he said on his STOCK clutch with 60k on it, so....
I'm not really worried about being able to get a 3rd gear scratch...I'd rather have tire hookup, which is what I get. I can't stop the 2nd gear chirps/spins. Even if I'm at partial throttle and I shift at 4500 rpms, it sometimes chirps, depending on how fast I actually shift.
