Machinehead, don't you have the digital autometer a/f guage? What's your opinion on it?

The good thing about this is that it doesn't 'assume' what a good stoich/rich voltage is for your car, like the autometer one. O2 sensors vary slightly from car to car. This gauge helps with tuning in the sense that AFTER you dyno tune it on a wide band, you can make a mental note of the voltage you push at WOT, and make sure you normally stay around there, and maybe make small adjustments if you get a minor bolt on or something - or at least tell you when something is wrong.
Also, this one has a slightly lower refresh rate, which reduces some of the blurring effect from the LED style gauges (autometer)

it simply reads the voltage from the O2 sensor.

Is it IMPERATIVE to dyno tune on a wideband for this guage to be useful?

The problem with the autometer gauge is that it doesnt read numbers, it is digital LED. The gauges that read numbers are much better, they supposedly give more accurate readings. Someone told me that at WOT the 02 sensor shuts off, so it will always read rich. Is this true?
Check out my website for a shot of the Autometer gauge.
