Painting inside headlights

i helped my frined put in his jdm headlights last week and he let me take apart his stock head light. Im gonna try painting the inside black to give it the jdm look, i know this is pretty cheap but im on spring break and have the time. So my question is: is there high temp paint that doesn't come in a can, and will this paint stick to the glass? Cause normal paint is gonna melt when i try to reseal it back together.

Is there anyone else who did this? Im gonna go around looking for this paint, hopefull it'll work.... i'll post pics if it works out : )

I wouldnt recommend painting a lot of the chrome just cuz its gonna lose its reflectiveness and I can barely see driving how it is now...

Wouldn't you want to spay it anyway to get it evev. I am pretty sure I have seen high temp paint in small containers before.

like dude said if you paint the metal you wont be able to see, the lights actually project the light off the metal reflector and off the reflector onto the road. Also i think this has been discussed before.

yea, im wasn't gonna paint the reflecting parts, just the part between the reflecting and the front, if you go look at your oem headlights hopefully you'll see what im talking about. Its like a strip around 1-2 inches going around the headlight.

So when i took the light apart, almost all the glue(silicon?) stuck to the glass part of the headlight which is the part im gonna paint, so when i heat the glue up again to put it back together, its undoublty gonna get hot and bubble or something.....I was thinking spray paint, but thats gonna be trouble some cause i have to mask it up, im pretty sure i can get an even coat of black paint wiht just a paint brush....

yea, i really can't bring myself to pay 350 for jdms either. Im not gonna be painting the parts between the high and low beam. From where the reflecting part is and the glass part, there is this glass area which has little ridges all along the circumference of the headlight, just look inside your headlight and u'll see what i mean. I will be painting that part. Im going to use high temp paint but not sure what to use, glossy, semi or flat...... What do you guys think?

oh yea and i have no clue what to do about the corners.... I have tried opening those up with a heat gun but they are sealed with a different kind of glue that doesn't give under heat.....

I will post pics when im done
