Painted Mud Flaps/Spalsh Gaurds or Not...

I have a red 92 prelude. I am getting a WW RS front lip, shaving H emblem, and painted air vents and factory side skirts. Should I also paint the mud flaps/splash gaurds or just take them off?

I say take them off. I took mine off and it looks way better stock. IMHO mud flaps are cheesy looking but the car get's dirty very easily.

My only concern, is with painted sides skirts and WW front lip; the rear bumper looks kinda short, cause the others are alot longer. Atleast with the mudflaps it looks a little more even.

I like the factory mud flaps just the way they are. Before I had my kit, I had all four mud flaps (black) and I liked the way it looked.

It looked "naked" when I took them off.

My car has only the fronts, it looked uneven with front mud guards but no rear ones, so until I decide to fork over the cash to get the rears, I took the fronts off. And if anyone is wondering, they do make a HUGE difference. The side of my car gets filthy now, when before, it'd stay fairly clean.

My car also only has the fronts. I am just wondering if it is worth removing them and only painted the factory side skirt; or getting rear ones and painting them all.

Mark: I assume you removed yours' with the kit, so do you still have them? I need buy the rears and one of my fronts might be damages from the crash (i didnt look closely). Want to sell them to me if you have them?

Right now Im probably gonna go all four or none. It looks a little off without the fronts or rears missing.

I think it looks cleaner with no mud gaurds, the only thing is with painted side skirts and WW RS front lip; the front/sides look too long. I find with painted gaurds, the back doesnt look as short. I am still deliberating though.

I have the WW front & sides, but a stock rear. I really want to see a pic of this setup with the mudflaps to see if it looks crappy or kick ass - I would think it would look good.... and i don't want to speed $300 to get a kaminari rear lip installed.

Fas4ws of hondaprelude.com. is the picture which I am reffering too. Keep in ming he has painted stock skirts (like what i have), so your setup might be a little difference. He also has a spoon front lip as opposed to a WW RS lip, but it is also lower, so adds the same situtation as far are the front/sides being lower. While the rear is sitll alot lower, I think the rear flaps certainly blend the rear in better with the sides. The front flaps then just do the job of balancing the rear flaps.

I also like his bronze 17" TE37s... Im thinking of getting rims like those instead of the white konig toxxins I wanted. Also, if I got 15" wheels like volks, should I go for white or gunmetal?

that lude looks alot cleaner than i had thought... i didnt think the mud flaps would look good either but i like it. i see a possible problem with the paint sticking to the mud fleps for any length of time tho with their flexibility.

Here is my photoshop comparison. I only changed the rims so it doesnt get confused with above (also, i like the toxxins). I am also not that good with photoshop so keep that in mine...
With mudflaps:

i kinda think it looks cleaner without the mudflaps. I took mine off b/c my car is too low and i was scraping them.

If you get them painted...they can use an adhesion promotor so it doesnt flake off as easy. And you can also add a flex agent in the paint so its flexible and durable. This is what they use when painting bumpers and other plastics.
