What color should I paint my car?

Alright its decided, I am painting the hood, might aswell do it now rather than later when it turns all yellow and ugly, plus the cleanliness is there too. I was thinking S2000 blue, but been looking at pics of blue ludes and they aren't all that spectacular. I'm thinking maybe black, white, or gunmetal, or something I donno help me out guys!

heres some recent pics:

Oh another reason for painting the hood is, it won't cost me anything extra if I do it along with the whole car. ANDddd I'm pretty sure the carbon fiber hood will start fading eventually and look bad and then I would have to paint it anyways. I have a seibon so I don't know how long it will last in the hot Texas sun.

I used to have a painted c/f hood, the only draw back is if you ever want to sell the hood, no one is interested, because its painted and if they don't mind it being painted then its a color they don't have.

But I completely see your point for painting, makes the car much cleaner.

i'm painting my cf hood (whenever i order it)

i don't like how much black it is on my car (milano red)

i was thinking about just leaving those small "strips" on the raised portion.

another idea someone threw out was 1 thin coat (like the ferrari f40) where its red....but if you walk up to it, you can see the weave under

paint it. i was going to paint mine before i decided to get rid of the car. cf hoods only look good on black cars

otherwise most people just think you got in an accident and had to get a black hood

I say paint it. It would look alot cleaner. Just not a fan of the color you want to paint it. You should get the car painted the stock color all around.

If I ever got a CF hood, I would have it painted. Looks much cleaner IMO. I would only leave it plain CF is it was a black car.

I painted mine. Suits the car much better. I enjoy the light weight of CF, not the way it looks.

The ride looks really sweet. I know whatcha mean about the ride looking good in pix and the flaws up close.

My thought is to paint it so the blue extends from each side but just up to the raised center section of the hood, and then have that center raised section clearcoated only (with whatever UV stuff they can add). To me the solid CF is played out. I have seen a couple of high end show cars with it sectioned like that and it looked very custom since it carried the main color of the car over to the hood, but used the CF as a highlight.

I really like those EL gauges too... should I do it?
