p13 ecu

Hey guys so I just recently finished doing a JDM H22A Swap and it runs beautifully. Ive been testing it and it seem as if vtec was cracking at 5K. Then I decided to test the redline and to my surprise I wasnt able to hit it. It went well into the 8K range. The ECU looked stock inside and out but apparently it was tuned. So im curious, can tuning shops scan it and see what and how its tuned?
Thnx for any input

p13's can't really be chipped.

FYI the stock tach is really off and shouldn't be used as a reference. It might say 8k rpm but it's really 7600 rpm is fuel cutoff. It's stock.

If you are on a road racing track, you can test your top speed, it will be electronically limited to 117mph (or so). Then you'll know it's a stock p13.

Because it's analog and it can't calibrate throughout the whole range.

Plus you have a h23 tach display, you know the vtec model is different right?

Trust me, you have stock p13 and vtec engages at 5200 rpm and fuel cutoff / redline is 7600 rpm. As much as you would like to have a 8000 rpm redline, you don't. Even if you did, you don't make power way up there anyways so it doesn't make you faster.

Nope... VTEC engagement is 5200rpm. The secondary butterflies in the intake manifold open at around 4500rpm.
