Overheating Problem when A/C is on...more inside
I was doing around 80mph on the Interstate with the A/C on and all of a sudden my temperature gauge goes up two bars (4th gen.). I have lately been having problems with the A/C so most of the last week or two its been at the shop getting a new compressor and evaporator. Well anyways, after it decided to heat up I turned off the A/C and turned on the heater to try and cool the engine down...
I know the A/C puts a heavy load on the engine (4 cylinders) but what would cause the overheating problem...I figure something with the circulation of the coolant..perhaps the thermostat??
Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks

BTW - the water pump was replaced no longer than 40k miles ago..however, it could have been bad to begin with..but who knows...timing belt job.....GRRRRRRRR
