ordering JDM H22: "uncut" harness required?

When I order my JDM H22 swap, do I need to make sure the harness is "uncut"? I see a lot of people selling swaps that say the harness is "cut at the firewall", does this matter? I know the JDM harness is essentialy useless when the motor goes into the USDM car, but you still nees some of the plugs and wires off of it, correct?

Yeah, as long as it's cut near where the main connectors are, you should be good to go. I only used my harness for a few plugs and a few inches of wire that I could solder to.

My JDM harness had the 'main' engine plugs still connected (cut after the plugs) so I used one of the main plugs to route all of the wires I had to add (VTEC solenoid ect), so if I need to pull the motor back out I can do it without any headaches. Other than that I can't think of any reason why you would need the harness plugs.

you can always use your old harness off the original motor. That's what I did with my h23a1 to JDM h22a swap. I had to add 3 wires for VTEC and that was pretty much it.

I know. . .just making sure that there is no plugs that are required to hook the USDM harness to the JDM engine (like if a given JDM sensor had a different type of connector than the USDM).
