Options for when I do my swap

Hey guys,

I have been thinking about what I should do with my H23 when I finish my JDM H22 swap. The engine willhave about 80,000 miles on it when it gets pulled and is is excellent shape. I never have to add oil between changes. My dad can hook me up on shipping so that won't cost too much. Do you think I will be able to sell it and recoup some of my money?

My other option is to turn the engine into a project and rebuild it. I already have a set of USDM H22A4 pistons and some H23 rods and I was thinking about dropping them in.

What do you guys think?

Project, grab yourself a Vtec head and hook it up. Your not gona get too much money for it. I would say a max of 1000$.

Hey $1000 is pretty good. I am going to be spending about $2000-$2200 on the whole swap so that gets me about half back. The proplem with the project is, rather than getting money back, I will be putting more money in. I am not going to have much left after the swap.

Again, I will be very close to broke after this. The most I will do is rebuild with H22 pistons.

BTW thanks for the input

If the only thing that you are going to do is the h22 pistons then there would be no point in putting it either back into your car or a different one.

You can donate it to the "Matt-Fund" to hype up his 3gen. Let him know. LOL.

Take care.

that's a misnomer. do you really think 9:8:1 compression is that big of difference than 10:0:1? did you know VTEC motors have better oiling system in the head?

sell the h23 or drop in a civic for a beater car.

Hey,

I don't really want to break it up. More work for me and Then I might end up with a useless head laying around. Besides, this motor runs perfect.

Anyways, I might just put it up on e-bay with a buy it now of like $700 or something.

Thanks for the help.
