Options of rear sway bars

Hi all,

Has anyone replaced the rear sway bar on their lude? I need to get rid of some pretty severe understeer. Currently have Tein springs with Koni shocks. Even with the Konis cranked to full stiff on the rear and pretty soft on the front, my car just will not rotate!

Any opinions and leads would be greatly appreciated.

suspension techniques appear to be less expensive. you've got your choice: neuspeed, or eibach(more expensive). usually people don't put the entire kit on either.

Hey,
If you are having to much understeer do this. As long as your car is lowered. Take off your front sway bar. You can get your @$$ end out. One of Brady's mods

Wish he was still around. He was like Neoekai but concetrated on the motor more. I think he mods on hp.com but I don't think he has a Lude anymore unless you want to count the 1st gen.

i believe he's referring to sway bars not strut bars..

alot of people just go with the rear sways. I don't know if they still sell the thick neuspeed rear sway bar, but i've read of some guys on this board breaking the mounts with the neuspeed rears.

rear sways

I will try disconnecting the front sway bar and see how that feels!

Has anyone tried the Suspension Techniques rear sway bar?

Unfortunately, Brady - like msot road racers - wrecked... He was very helpful to preluders.

As for the sway bar removal, it is not recommended. You will get more understeer, but ridiclous body roll. Its better to do it right the first time.

With the sway bars, if you want to reduce body rool I would recommend getting a set of ST bars. If you wnat to reduce oversteer more, i'd go wtih the neuspeed rear sway bar. It is designed in conjunction with the stock front bar, and also is much better than the ST bar (from what I hear).

Also ST bars do not work with 4ws...

... Go w/ the Neuspeed 28mm rear bar, if you can find it, hehehee... No, actually, don't, 'cause if you do, you'll crack your rear subframe, like I did. Seriously, though, Neuspeed's quality is top notch.

I think sway bars actually promote oversteer. From my understanding, Honda's are designed to understeer and changing the rear sway bar to a stiffer design will enduce oversteer.

I'll be installing my st rear sway bar within the next few days (hopefully), but i guessing my car's driving characteristics will be different regardless because I still haven't driven my car since I installed my Tein's, Spoon F&R strut bars, and rear tie bar.
