Optima battery

Anyone have this? How good is it copare to other kind like Die Hard...? My car can't start, totaly dead this morning. The interior light, power window, lock doesn't work. Try to jump start battery. Everything start back. Go to Autozone to check the battery. They said this battery no good anymore. So I am think get a new battery not the regular one. I went to performance store saw the Optima for sale $120. Is this a good price? Thanks.

I had a red top optima battery in my old 91 lude. I loved it. The car started strong every time, and I think the battery should last for about 6 to 7 years. I think its well worth the $120.
I think I got mine for $165.00, so you got a decent price. Go for it

I've got a red top in my car. I don't really know if it's any better than regular batteries in terms of starting and such, but it is a sealed battery which is why I bought mine. I'm planning on relocating it to the trunk so having a sealed battery is good because you don't have to vent the gases to the outside of the car. I bought mine for $120 but shipping was killer.

I believe the yellow is more amps. If you have a big ICE then you might consider the yellow, but if just like an amp, kicker, and an alarm you can't go wrong with the red. Oh, and no one has mentioned yet that they look cool too. You might also check www.groupbuycenter.com for a deal. I got mine for $110 shipped from there about 6 months ago. You will need to get longer battery wires or trim your battery tray because the posts are flip flopped from a regular battery position.

I think the red top and the orange top are the same cranking amps but the orange top has the posts on the correct side.

Here is a link to the one you want:

If you want the red top you will have to do as ludeact said

Just my two cents worth...you can't go wrong with an Optima... I had a red top in my old Jeep 4x, only been in there about a month before the Jeep went up in flames... everything in front of the firewall melted including entire corner of my new Optima (fire not caused by the battery)... pulled the Optima out, tossed it in the garage ON the cement floor, and occasionally kick it out of my way now and then. That was 6 years ago. The the battery dies in my boyfriend's car last month... just for grins, we put in the Optima ... and the car kicked right over. I swear, battery has NEVER been charged, has just been hanging out on the floor... Do I like Optima's and think they're worth the extra buck? Heck yeah!!!
