I need to replace my timing belt very soon and more than likely I'm buying the parts for the mechanic. I know pretty much everything I need I just want to know a couple of things. I'm looking at a GMB water pump and Koyo tensioners. Koyo I have heard of. GMB I havent. Just want some opinions or advice on these manufacturers. Thanks.

i think i'm running a gmb in my car now

in my opinion.. a water pump is a water pump.. the only thing that deteriorates are the fins.. and that's from people not changing the coolant every two years or 45k

stuff becomes acidic and eats away at the fins.. other then that.. it's driven by the timing belt and so i can't see much that could go wrong.. but if you want a piece of mind.. i guess you can pay the money for the oem one

if i'm not mistaken .. the oem pump is around 85 and the gmb is around 40
