Opinions on the NEW RS*R??

Hey guys, I dunno if you've checked out the new RS*R exhaust:

GB on new RS*R

I know it's not the legendary, hard-as-sh** to find RS*R for the 4th gen.

What do you guys think??

It's not

I think they are way different. That rs*r is straight through and has a silencer and does not look at all like the old rs*r.

True...it's not THE RS*R exhaust. However, it is made by the same folks, no?

This means that we should expect the same level of quality in these things as in the extremely-hard-to-find model.

Personally, I'd rather have the straight-through design....but is the RS*R name worth 600?

I'm guessing that these will sound like most of the other straight through cat-backs (Tanabe, Apex N1, etc..)

Does anyone know RS*R's japanese website?

ar5enal: RS*R's website is www.rs-r.co.jp
nuro: The RS*R is legendary because it is by far the hardest exhuast to find in the US for the 4th Gen. Also, if you manage to hunt one down, you get to be in a elite club with B2k, Cantdrive55, and others who are too cool for the rest of us

My opinion on the new RS*R is this... I like it. It looks very good, and I am certain that the quality is excellent. If I was rich I would buy it.

It's not worth it. When I had a 91 Integra, RS*R was the best looking exhaust for that car. I was able to buy one. The finish was really good, piping was very thick, the whole exhaust had a decent wight to it. It wasn't very quiete, on the long trips the noise would get anoying. After about halfp a year the muffler devolped a funky rattling noise, like something was loose. The point is, today you can find many other exhausts that are just as good if not better.

it's loud as hell.. Put it this way, I was driving my friends 7th gen celica with a straight through RSR. And I felt really really bad for all his neighbors. and I was trying my best to stay in between 2-2.5k and it was still loud as hell.

he is making good power with a prototype intake, prototype header, and that RSR exhaust. He said his car dynoed at 180 to the wheels. And he has the GT model that comes with 130 flywheel hp or whatever...

That exhaust looks loud as hell! I'd assume that the quality is EXCELLENT as is the quality of the original. Worth $600? I dunno. If I wanted a loud ass N1 type exhaust, I'd buy that one over the others though. RS*R makes VERY high quality pieces.
