Opinion Needed

I'm getting ready to paint the lude in a few months and I need some help making a decision. I've seen ludes with and without factory body side mouldings, I do not have them, I cannot decide If I want to add them or not. I will be painting the car a dark red metallic candy color from House Of Kolor. I will also be adding a WWRS kit or something similar.

I don't like them on the lude it looks cleaner with out it. Once you put on the kit I don't think the molding will flow well with the sideskirts

Body side mouldings. They go on the doors and quarters. Purpose: to help prevent parking lot dings.

The Lude looks good enough as is. If it was a Civic it would be another story.

i may be mistaken but i think those just came on the SE preludes (the side moldings). i think the car looks cleaner without them, and definately wouldnt add them if i didnt have them. just park way out at the end of parking lots and hope no one hits your car door. no matter what thats the only thing that will help. door moldings are just a false sense of security, especially since so many people drive suvs and crap. their doors are up so high, comparitively.

When I purchased my 92 Si brand spankin' new in July1992, they asked me if I wanted the side moldings, and I told them no- it looks much cleaner without them (they agreed). They must have been a factory option or they wouldn't have asked. I haven't had any door dings and I park right in with the other cars 98% of the time.

Whenever I did park away from others, some idiot always had to go out of their way to park next to me. I got to the point where I figured I wouldn't stand out if I just park with everyone else; but I do look for wide spaces and make sure I don't park next to a "beater", family van (with kids who just fling the door wide open no matter what), or a large 2 door car. It's worked for me so far...
