Opinion on foglights...

I am looking to buy a set of foglights. I'd really like to get a set of OEM, but from what I've researched so far I've found that Finding a complete set is a PITA, and then Installing them is even worse. plus I dont want to pay 2x or 3x the price just for the OEM look.
so Now I'm considering whether or not I should even bother with OEM, becuase I'm going to be buying them for Light, not looks.
so what do you all think? do the OEM's have the best illumination, or are some nice aftermarket ones just as good or better??? and do you think It'll be that noticable if I have aftermarket, I dont really like the idea of some Ghey looking cheapie fogs hanging out of my bumper.

THANKS!!!

I have yet to see a set of aftermarket fogs that look good on the front of a 4gen.

OEM is the ONLY way to go.

i like the look of the OEM fogs definatly, but i hate the yellow light... I would just put more HID in it... cause yellow is just ugly i think.

just get a generic switch for now. You can get then anywhere for a buck and wire it up until you can find a real switch.

my sh!t is wired already w/ generic switch and generic relay etc.

its wired to the ster0 accessory, i think its totaly ghetto .. im gonna have to take advantage of the OEM cluster under the dash and have some fun I think ... leave em so they come on whenever keys are turned if the switch is that is but us stock wiring .. its an ugly mess under my hood, the guy who put the aftermarket junk ones on my car now sucked.

anyhoo, there was a set on ebay that just sold w/o switch and w/o relay but there was a thread somewhere that you can use a stock relay.

AND ... the OEM fogs for US are clear, JDM are yellow ..
if you call around junkyards you can get the lights, or Hondaautomotiveparts.com will sell all the parts... 30bux each for the brackets, like 100bux each for the lights .. get the relay, harness, clips that hold the fog wires to the bracket, covers, and oem switch .... should add up to like $300 in total? its an accessory you should be able to buy em in a kit. In canada they are discontinued so I needed to order my right bracket from US .. still waitin for it to get here ..

then CF covers, when they get here ... and viola ..

but, the OEm are pretty big, you can grab any type of fog light and place it in stock location if you cut out your bumper and do it right. Fabricate some cheap fiberglass covers and 3m adhesive them on to be ghetto and it should look ok ... *shrug* .. ghetto but ... should work w/ good fogs.

I concur that OEM is the only way to go...

Just to set people straight... JDM fogs came in clear and yellow (not just yellow). In Japan, 91-92 ludes had the option of clear fogs, and 93-96 ludes could get yellow fogs. So the USDM clear fogs are exactly the same as JDM 91-92 fogs. I pulled my clear fogs off of a JDM front clip.
