oops... need some help

ok, I'm a fool. I decided to wash my engine bay out today, and did all the prep work, and the spark plugs were secure, but when I was finishing drying everything up afterwards, and had dabbed with a towel and absorbed all the water up off of the valve cover, I decided (good thing too i guess) to check to make sure no water got into the plug holes. Doh! All were dry except for (can't remember which number, but the one closest to the driver's side of the car) one, which was almost completely filled with white water (engine degreaser and water mixed). I feel like such an idiot, but anyway, I checked and found the culprit (besides me being an idiot), the inner rubber ring that fits on the inside of the hole wall was folded up in one spot, so I'm guessing that's how water got in. Anyway, I stuck some long, folded pieces of paper towel in the hole to soak up all the water, and afterwards took a peek with a flash light, looks dry, but i can see an ever-so-slight amount of moisture on the top of the spark plug, and when I tap the plug wire end on my palm, small droplets of water are coming out from the inside. So what do I do? Should I use a hair dryer to try and dry up the water inside the plug wire end? I'm not so sure it's a good idea for the spark plug hole, I mean, I cleaned the cover, but I don't want to blow anything into the hole. Help!

You could try using compressed air or a hairdry or something of the sort. Nothing else really to do that I can think of. Definitely don't reuse that spark plug though.

Why not reuse the plug? I never removed it, and if air/fuel can't escape up through the plug hole, how could water get in? I washed the car later, and I plan to wax it tomorrow (going to try Meguiars Tech Wax), so I needed to pull it into the garage, it started fine and didn't see to misfire or anything, so I'm thinking all is well, still though, makes me feel pretty incompetent when I can't even wash my engine bay without doing something wrong. Btw, I used Pennzoil's Gumout engine bay degreaser, and it didn't work that well.

Omg your worried about that. hahahah Dang i have had my holes completly filled with oil when i missed, didnt even bother cleaning it out. You have nothing to worry about that wont hurt anything. Just put the spark plug wire back on and drive your car.

Yea its not really any big deal. I have an mr2 also, and that thing has had more oil down where the spark plugs are than it has in the oil pan. But really if you get a little water in their or alot, it wont really affect anything, becuase your spark plug wire attaches to the plug and pretty much makes a good strong connecttino and guards it at the same time.
