Ok,
So I finally got my RacerX co-op sponsorship and enough loot to get an H22 longblock. I have a 93 H23a1 5-spd with 160k and definetely need to get the h22. Anyways, my question is what exactly to I need to do the h22 longblock swap onto my H23 tranny? Im pretty sure that the tranny will bolt right up to the JDM block, right?
So I need:
-JDM long block ( of course)
-p13 ECU
Anything else??
Also, will my distributor bolt right onto the H22?
What other parts from my H23 do I need to keep to put on the H22.
Thanks for you guys' help.
Aaron
P.s. I also have a CC header that will fit USDM h22's, but does the JDM have the same bolt pattern, and will the downpipe fit onto my h23 cat?
Sorry for the long post and all the questions, but any help is greatly appreciated.
Yeah, that thread helps a little, but like I said, I have an h23.
For example,
-are the h22 and h23 fuel rails the same?
-are the injectors the same size?
-are the USDM and JDM h22 bolt patterns the same for the exhaust manifold?
-will the h23 distributor fit the JDM?
-will I need a new wire harness?

not necessarily the bolt pattern. Its probably something to do with the length/flange etc.. just get an H22 Ex. Mani and DP.

The USDM H22 has the EXACT same bolt pattern as the JDM H22. A USDM H22 header will bolt up to a JDM H22.
As for the cat, that is another story. You will need to modify the holes in the H22 DP to fit onto the H23 cat. All you need to do is lengthen the holes toward the center of the pipe a little. I did mine with a Oxy/Act torch and some finesse.
