They installed a new thermostat.

They did my timing belt and water pump a month ago with all genuine HONDA parts. Not sure about the temp switch ... I'll check on that.

Only K&N drop-in filter and MSD 6A with Blaster SS coil. Nothing else.

It'll come on after I idle for a bit... turns off after like 1 min.

hey its quite possible the temp sensor is bad and reading to hot, find a shop that has an infra-red temp sensor and see if the car is really overheating

radiator cap! I changed mine and it worked perfectly fine. Honda told me that i had a radiator clog but then i thought it was the cap since it didnt look too right. I changed it, then WHAM! my overheating problem was gone. It was because the cap didnt put down enough pressure to let the coolant flowing. The cap costs couple bucks so go get one and maybe it would help!

dont worry daidai....friday well see if its something simple like an air bubble in the line or maybe youre temo sensor...

weird thing is tho.....i ordered the 94 vtec thermo and when it came it was half the size of the one in your car...housing was twice as small too. So....i ordered a 97 thermo and it fit...your cars previous owners have done some STRANGE things to your car.

You can get a temp gun to point at your engein to see what the temp really is. My care told me it was over heating all the way to the last bar, but when i took the temperture with a temp gun that i bought it never went over 185 degrees. Turned out some wiring in the actual guage cluster got burned or overheated. New guage cluster fixed the problem.
