Is it worth it to buy cam gears and tune stock cams?

My buddy tuned his stock cams on the dyno and gained a few hp up top, which is what he wanted since the car is used for drag only. I forget where he ended up having them set at, but +2, +2 sounds very familiar! So to answer the question, yes, a few hp can be gained from tuning stock cams.

Are you track tuning your cam gears? Like making runs and then making adjustments?

I'd do the Hondata IM gasket, but can you use it with the Skunk2 IM (when it comes out)?. I think both of those mods, assuming they can work together would be a definite way to go. I'd also do a bored TB when you get the new Skunk2 IM. And if you have the money or desire I'd get Skunk2 or Crower camshafts with valve-train. Then, dyno-tune it.

Get the engine built up, the head anyway. Get a nice set of cams, valvesprings/retainers, etc., then get the IM whenever it comes out (it's not out yet right), then do a few fuel modifications, then get the nitrous. You'd be done then for a while, and enjoying low 13 second timeslips, if not faster.

The truth comes out.....you always claimed to have your vafc and cam gears set to zero.
