Oil Problems...Need Help

I just took my AEM CAI off because it got annoying to me at higher RPM's and with it being in the winter, all rainy, I did not need it. I did'nt want to screw with the resonator box, so i just put in the airbox. I was examining my CAI and down at the bottom (filter end) oil was in the in the little part to keep the filter from slipping off. Almost like a lip, I guess you could say. (you guys know what the hell I am talking about, right?) It was a reasonably large amount, I though. Atleast 1/4 ounce, maybe. I thought about getting a breather filter, maybe this would help keep oil out of the engine? Anyways, how would I rig this up? Is there enough clearance for the hood if I mount it on top of the engine? Thanks

yes there's enough clearance under the hood for a breather filter. cap off the inlet on the stock intake pipe and put the breather on. clean the breather filter once in a while, it will get pretty dirty. or get an oil catch can if you feel like spending the money on it.

no offense, but you are crazy to take the cold air off in the winter, this is the coldest weather and this time of year is when you get the biggest gains.... I mean don't rip into if it is wet out, but jeesh I live in Ohio, I know i get more rain, snow, sleet, ice than Alabama.... I'd keep that cai on.
