oil leak 93 h22

My car sat all winter and it was nice yesterday so I started it up and i smelled some oil burning so I looked under the hood and the transmission casing under the distributer has oil all over it. where do you think that oil could be leaking from??? Thanks in advance for some insight on this

Here are a couple, there may be more though:

1. Distributor Seal
2. Cam Seal
3. Vtec Solenoid Gasket
4. Valve Cover

those are some of the prominent places for an oil leak (not necessarily in that order)

If you haven't lost a whole lot of oil, wipe it up and then try running the engine and seeing if you can find where the leak may be coming from....

I had a similar situation, a very slow oil leak that would collect and slowly drip down from around my vtec solenoid. I replaced my vtec solenoid gasket first, but it ended up being the cam seal. None of these parts are too expensive.

Good luck.
