Oil Filter Change Question

How do you get that damned filter off without getting oil all over everything? i have changed my oil everytime for the past two years (except when the shop and honda did it for free ) and the last time i got oil all over my good clothes and everything......i just wanted to know some tricks yall had.

Be quick. I usually get a drip or two on my hand, that's it. It's not rocket science.

When unscrewing it, unscrew it quickly, or else oil will accumulate and drip. When you get near the end of the threads, kinda "push the filter on the threads," like, apply a little bit of pressure towards the block as you unscrew it. This will keep the oil from pouring out of the open end of the filter. When you can feel it is completely unscrewed, then tilt the back end of the filter down first to keep the oil in there, like a cup.

Same spot as your guys' I assume. Right above the flex pipe, in the rear of the block, under the IM.

sounds about right, think its slightly different for me thanks to the ATTS, I get the filter from the top, but location wise thats right around where it is also
