Oil Amount Double Check

Hello,
I did a quick search and saw the general concensus is about 4 quarters of oil is how much a 4th gen with H23 needs right? I don't have an owners manual and am about to change my oil. If someone could just confirm or deny that it's 4 quarters I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Jim

To be "on the safe side" put in four quarts and check the level. Over-filling is not good.

He's right. I have a buddy who put a Moroso oil pan on his civic. He thought it was a 8 quart pan for some reason. Long story short All the burning oil clogged his spark plugs, covered most of his combustion chamber in burned black oil. It even messed with his valves. He had to do a complete tear-down and rebuild to get it to run right agian. The kicker is the pan was a 6.5 system so he was only 1.5 over...
