oil additives

is there ANY oil additives that u guys would recommend???
i am thinking of using RESTore engine oil additive - i have founded mixed reviews on this product. any personal experience with tihs product?
reason for using the additive is that my compression is a bit low for one of the cylinders. plus Restore claims to quiet the valves down.
h23a1 valvetrain is LOUd-that's the bottom line!

hehe yeah the h23 valvetrain is quite loud.. i noticed that too.. even after doing a valve adjustment it was still quite loud. i have used restore in my h23. it takes about 300-400 miles before you start to see results but i was quite impressed with it in the long run.. put it in your current oil (make sure you buy the 4 cylinder formula and not the bigger cans for 6's and 8's) and then after you do an oil change add one immediately to that and then youll be fine. the only thing i dont understand is the fact that they say it smooths out your cylinder walls.. because you dont want your cylinder walls smooth. that is why when you build an engine block you use a cylinder honer which actually scratches the cylinder walls to allow the rings to seal right.

yeah you want swirls in your cylinders but you dont want cracks.. maybe it does something about that... and yeah they say you want two bottles to get max performance but hell its only like 4 bux for one.. no biggie.. and i noticed performance and mpg gains after like 500.. very nice.. everything just seemed better.. gas mileage was definately a plus..
