You will need wheel spacers on the front two wheels, cuz the rim hits the break. Wheel spacers are like 20bucks for 2 at the local racing store.

Why would he need spacers for? Putting the wheels out more would cause rubbing.
The rims should fit fine. All you have to worry about it the tires and rubbing. I have 17x7.5 with +42 offset on my rims and I'm fine.

It matters how much your dropped and what size tires you use. And no I didn't have to use spacers like mentioned above.

With my 18x7.5's (42 offset) I initially had 225/40 and I rubbed like hell with my 1.8" drop. I switched to 215/35 and all is well

18 X 7.5 with a +42 offset here and no rubbing also. I also went with 215 rubber because 225 would cause problems like already mentioned.

Just make sure to use hubcentric rings if the rims come with them. They will keep the rim seated correctly on the hub.

DO NOT USE SPACERS!

225/35/18 with a +42mm offset won't rub either.

each car is different. i rub w/ 18x7.5 +42 offset cuz i'm running 225/35/18 on a 1.3" drop and i needed a camber kit as well. some ppl. can go w/o a camber kit w/that drop and not rub running 225. safe way is 215/35... so as long as you're running that then you should be fine.
