OEM quality leather steering wheel (PICS)

Greetings all,

I recently began to search for an OEM quality leather steering wheel wrap for my 4th Gen and I was very disappointed because I could not find any companies that made any that look like the factory ones. All of the aftermarket ones I have seen do not wrap completely around all the spokes of the steering wheel. I called Honda to find out how much a new leather wrapped wheel would cost and the price was over $600, way too expensive for a steering wheel in my opinion.

I almost decided to give up on it and that's when I found a company that can wrap any steering wheel in leather, exactly like the factory OEM steering wheels. I decided to try my luck with them and I was very pleased.

Here are the pics of my 4th Gen with the leather wrapped steering wheel installed so that you can see what it looks like:

Notice how it wraps completely around the spokes, I have never seen an aftermarket company that does this kind of quality work for a steering wheel wrap. I could not be happier with the steering wheel and their customer service is also excellent.

I know that some members in the past were looking to upgrade their factory steering wheel and there aren't many options for the 4th Gen, especially since the 5th Gen steering wheel will not fit due to the different splines.

If anybody wants one, PM me and I will refer you to the person who did mine.

Sorry guys, I did not mean to leave anyone hanging. Are we allowed to post a company name which is not a sponsor of the site? This is why I did not post the company name, because I am not sure if I am breaking the rules of the forum.

You can tell us.

It fine to saying I really like my AEM dry filter compared to a K&N filter for example.

Companys can't post pimping there products or services without becoming a vendor.

I got the steering wheel done by a company called Dallas Steering Wheel. Their website is dallassteeringwheel.com and the person's name is Don Le. His email is donle2k@yahoo.com. You can contact him directly if you are interested.

Their customer service is excellent he will answer any questions you have.

I took me so long to find a company that does it like the OEM wheels, I am really happy to pass on the info to everyone.

Yes they can do it for almost any type of car. On the website, you will see pictures of steering wheels from many different cars that have been recovered in leather.

I payed about 230$ to get it done plus the $50 core charge, however the core charge will be refunded to you once you send him your old steering wheel.

If you find it's a lot of money, then that's your opinion, however let's put things into perspective before saying it costs a lot shall we?

New Honda OEM leather wrapped steering wheel = $600 (absurdly expensive).
Wheelskins leather wrap = $50 (I wouldn't pay 10$ for it)

The wheelskins wrap looks like complete garbage, I wouldn't even consider putting it on my car's steering wheel if I had a $500 rusted beater.

If the quality of the work he did was not up to par I would understand the price being that high, however for how nice his work is, I think it's reasonable eespecially since nobody makes it like the OEM ones.
