Hey peeps I need some input from fog light owners...
I'm just finishing up the carbon fiber fog light covers and I just need to know how the fog light 'fits' with the cover. Like does the light sit 'in' the cover and hold it, or does the cover merely just meet up to the edge.
Basically I'm asking where the inside edge of the cover meets up, as I don't have any fogs

The fog lights sit right at the edge of the plastic trim, but doesn't fully touch.
When you put the plastic piece in it kinda sits, but it's not like a press fit. You have to screw it down or will come off. It feels like everything is in place when you put it over the fogs.
Hope that helps.
If anything you could always send me a pair for test and trail purposes. I will be glad to help you out in this way.

Wow thanks for the detailed info...so would there be any benefit to having a small lip around the edge of the inside of the trim? Or is there any space for that. Just from my perspective I think it's easier to clean up. But if there isn;t the clearance I won't do it
I'm talking about a 2-3mm lip around the hole. Does that work?

The reason why there is clearance there is because of the fog light adjustability. The fog trim does not move along with the whole fog light assembly; it's stationary. So putting a lip around the hole might stop it from being able to adjust the fog light beam.

do you know how much your going to charge for these? ...
You should look into finding an aftermarket fog that'll fit in those and maybe fabricate them so they'll fit into something like what you made.
it looks just awesome! ... but us 4g's need another less expensive option for cool fogs in oem location.
all the fog's i've seen sell for over 200bux US .. thats 300 CDN .. for fog lights?? .. really ... plus shipping & duty fees .. thats 350bux... for fog lights... are fog lights really that beneficial to spend that much money on them?

im trying to fit my piaas in those fog light covers but im not sure if it would fit ok. i would really need to have a fog light cover to test it out and see if it could be dremeled to fit my piaas. that would be pretty cool. of course, i dont have access to a fog light cover.

whenever i leave a post on a old thread, you guys always say, hey this is a really old post! way to bring a post from the dead, but then if i make a new thread and ask about it, people say not to do that and just search. its like theres no winning with u guys
and yea, i left a comment about that joel cf trim thing on one of those threads for em.
i wouldnt like to get the cf cuz then i cant dremel it cuz it would take off the polish. dunno how dremeling cf would really work. plus i would like to know if dremeling would even help fit my piaa's in there. if not, theres no point.
