OEM fog light switch in tweeter

I was just wondering if any of you with this could please measure the width and height of the switch alone for me? I have a 5th gen and I was wondering whether or not the 4th gen one would fit where my current OEM one is.

Also, are any of the 4th gen fog light switches back lit (not the green indicator but the fog light sign) If so, what colour?

Pics would be great if you have any

TIA

Dennis

I can't help with any of your questions, but if the 5th gen fog switch works on a 4th gen, and you're gonna get rid of yours, I'm calling dibs!

so you want to swap a 4th gen fog switch into your car just because it's backlit? well i can guarantee you the harness will be different, not to mention the fact that the tweeter switch is much wider than the newer switches are tall. you'd have to find a place to mount it and cut a hole for it. come one man, it's hard enough for us 92-93 guys to find the thing as it is.

That's the JDM switch you're talking about. Here is a pic of the 5 hole bezel that I have with the USDM switch (Pic c/o Chris. Don't mind the relocated hazard switch)

I'm not too worried about the harness being different cause that was the case with the my JDM harness and my USDM switch. I had to splice some wires to make it work. No biggie...then again, I won't know for sure until I get it...but still, I don't think it will be a problem.

and in regard to finding it, I want to see if it will fit first before I go on the hunt. After all, it's just the switch I'm after, not the holder. I'm gonna ask my local Honda first then I'll check the junk yards but again, I need to know the measurements first.

D

P.s. There is an auction on ebay for a complete set of 4th gen foglights with the switch in the tweeter if you're interested.

I wonder if my tweeter switch will be backlit. I know it has the indicator light... but it would be cool if the sign lit up to match the rest of the interior lights...

Could either of you guys please measure the size of it for me? If it won't fit in the slot (as go pre states) maybe it'll fit next to where it's supposed to go (where chris has relocated his hazard switch)

TIA

Is this what you wanted a measurement for?

^^ Yeah. But now that I see it up close, I don't think it would fit cause of the corners. I didn't realize that it had different corners like that. I thought it would be like the 4th gen ones that have it located by the e-brake. Anybody have measurements/pics of that?

TIA
