okay, i start the car, i put it into first gear and drive..
blahblahlblah
i wanted to drag race some dumb white kid that's a ricer wannabe in a dumb semi tricked out neon
i floored it and as soon as the tach hits 4k, it flies to 8k in a blink of an eye and cuts off fuel injection cause of fuel injection cutoff in redline.
Okay, i know for a fact that my engine is not that powerful to push that meter up that high that fast.
Is this a sensor problem or tachometer problem and how could i fix this?

I'm not doubting that it was engine cutoff, but, if the revs are flying from 4k to 8k and is hitting engine cutoff, then its pretty likely that there is something along the drivetrain thats letting go.
no, you don't get it!
the revs are not really up that high cause i can tell by the noise the engine makes
the needle just says that either because of a sensor or the tach
but i don't think a tach could cause a cutoff so i was leaning more on the sensor.
Drivetrain is on the bottom of my list of possibilities here

sensor, your tach has nothing to do with yoru fuel cut off. its just a display of how fast your distributor is spinning. So its a sensor
sure you weren't racing with your car not totally warmed up? sometimes the fuel cut off wont let you rev over a certain point if the engine is cold.
